Enrichment Classes

Ages: 7 and older

Dates/Times: Choose a date/time that works best for you! You can also choose between in-person or virtual classes!

 In-person –Tuesday or Thursday 10-11:30 am; Wednesday 1:30-3:00 pm

Virtual – Friday 1:30-3:00 pm; Participants in virtual classes will need to arrange for pick-up or drop-off of their class materials. 

Cost: $11 Members / $13 non-members per child per class. Advance registration required. Payment must accompany registration. Registration closes 3:00 pm on Monday the week before class.

COVID-19 Protocols: In accordance with state and local health guidelines, all students and staff will be required to wear face coverings (over nose and mouth). Exceptions can be made for people with medical conditions or disabilities that prevent them from safely covering their nose and mouth. Temperatures of all participants will be checked prior to entry into classroom. At this time, we are limiting the number of people in the room for classes, parents/guardians are requested to wait outside and not accompany their child into the classroom. What makes a game fun? What makes a game winnable? How do you build strategies to win a game? We’ll learn how tabletop games are structured, and then build our own!

Discover the energy sources and uncover the connection between spinning things and electricity! Have a static-induced hair-raising experience, wire a light-up circuit you can take home or send to a friend, explore lightning, and turn crazy stuff into batteries!

Dive to the deepest depths of the ocean as we explore and encounter deep sea creatures. Learn what it takes to overcome water pressure and lack of sunlight to conduct research as a deep sea explorer.

You’ve heard about extreme weather on the news, now learn about what makes it “extreme.” We’ll explore the greenhouse effect and ocean temperatures as well as some of the physical effects they can have on the planet and what you can do about it!

Get hands-on with microscopes and explore the miniature world we can’t see. Investigate the parts of a cell, learn how to distinguish an animal cell from a plant cell, and determine the differences between bacteria and viruses.

Q2 - Interplanetary Habitation and Navigation - Click to Register

Let space travel capture your imagination as we learn about interplanetary travel and habitats and learn what it takes to get to outer space and live on another planet. We’ll practice rocketry and navigation skills while learning about NASA’s Artemis Program.
