We can’t contain our excitement…we are ready to greet you at Discovery Center!

Behind our masks, we are smiling from ear to ear as we open our doors and welcome families back. If you've previously been to our museum, your visit this time will seem a bit different that you are used to, but it will remain just as fun as before!

2. Staying safe and healthy together.

Before you enter the museum, we will check your temperature, have you answer several health screening questions, and provide sanitize for your use.  Plus, remember to rock the mask! Grownups, children ages 5+, and Museum staff must wear masks that cover the nose and mouth to enter the Museum (face shields are not allowed unless worn with a mask covering the nose and mouth). Caregivers visiting with children who have medical conditions, ASD and similar processing differences are encouraged to let our staff know. We strongly encourage tots ages 4 and younger to wear face coverings as well, though they are not required.  Our staff are also required to wear masks, and undergo temperature checks and health screenings. Social distancing is a team effort.  Finally, if a Museum staff member reminds you or someone in your group to wear a mask, please be kind and respectful. Our team members are trying to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Multiple requests may result in removal from the museum

3. Increased cleaning.

Our robust cleaning practices have gotten even more stringent! We have meticulously planned and implemented cleaning and safety procedures throughout our museum that protect the health and well-being of our guests and staff. We’re adhering to guidelines from our local health department, the CDC, and the Association of Children's Museums to ensure we are following the highest standards. You’ll see our staff cleaning with disinfectant throughout your visit and deeper cleaning will occur between each shift of guests and at the end of the day. Staff will disinfect surfaces, exhibits and “high touch” areas, like door handles and elevator buttons. Loose toys and manipulatives, such as play food and balls, will be rotated out with new sanitized sets for each timed visit.
