The thrill of exploration and discovery is built into every one of our 300-plus hands-on science and arts exhibits located inside Discovery Center Museum and outside in our Rock River Discovery Park.
Our Wild Weather gallery is home to Discovery Center’s iconic Tornado exhibit. A dancing, twisting column of water vapor, this is a tornado that you can touch and move! In Wild Weather you can also find the Aeolian Landscape, the exhibit that lets the visitor manipulate blowing desert sands, and the fascinating Turbulent Orb, where visitors spin a globe to visualize turbulent flows in the atmosphere.
