Explore over 300 Interactive Exhibits!

Would you like to soar through the sky in a jet, then explore the universe? Would you like to forecast the weather in a television studio? Or show off your coordination and dance moves on a fitness floor? How about using your own body to generate electricity? You can even go outside to our Rock River Discovery Park and navigate the two-story maze, search for dinosaur fossils and make a splash in the water play area.

When you visit Discovery Center Museum, you and your family can explore the world, and even the universe, without ever leaving our inspiring environment. The thrill of exploration and discovery is built into every one of our 300-plus hands-on science and arts exhibits located inside Discovery Center Museum and outside in our Rock River Discovery Park.

Science and Fun for Visitors 6 and younger!

craneIn Tot Spot, little visitors can explore, create, and discover the world of science while doing what they do best—playing. Children ages 6 and younger and their grown-ups can Make It Go with the train, coal car, and depot; Make It Flow (and squirt and bubble) in the huge water play area; and Make it Blow through giant tubes filled with sparkles, balls, and fluff.

Junior engineers can move materials with a kid-powered crane, create their own gravity ball maze, and build structures of all sizes.

You can step through the porch of Ginny’s House for family role-play fun that even includes working on the car in the attached garage!

Baby Spot, for our littlest learners, lets your toddler or infant engage his/her senses with specially designed toys.

Children take the lead in creating, imagining and learning through different venues that rotate through the Tot Spot role-playing area during the year. Discovery Center Museum asks all young visitors to Tot Spot be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
