On a Terrific Tuesday field trip, your students will participate in themed classes presented by Discovery Center Museum, Rockford Art Museum, and Rockford Dance Company. This immersive and diverse educational experience will expressively engage their bodies and minds in science and art.
Time: 9:30 - 12:00
Cost: $9* per student; No cost for chaperones or teachers
Grades: K - 6 (except where noted)
Terrific Tuesday Basic Field Trips can accommodate up to 75 students (minimum of 20 students) and do not include museum tours.

Discover some unusual forms of communication as we explore the myriad ways we send messages. Move your body to make a point, utilize art to decode a secret message, and experiment with invisible ink!
Middle school extension (7&8): Advanced activities for middle-schoolers investigate additional ways we transmit messages.

Movement, art, and science converge in areas bright and dark as we break apart light, use painting techniques to explore shades of color, create a shadow dance, and jump, step, and turn to articulate the qualities of light and shadow.
