Junior MD
What do doctors look for when they make you say “Ahh” or look in your ears? Find out as you get the inside scoop on diagnosing diseases. Look through microscopes, test for germs, listen through a stethoscope, and use real medical equipment. Med students from U of I School of Medicine are on hand to teach you what doctors really do!
No registration required. Included with Museum admission: $6 adults, $5 children ages 2-17.

Discovery Center Celebrates National Bubble Week with national bubble celebrity Geoffrey Akins, live performances, and sudsy science fun. Be amazed at the intricate shapes and forms of bubbles during Geoff’s captivating 30-minute bubble show. Then test your own soapy skills with bubble art and activities for the whole family in the Bubble-Palooza Playground. Get your tickets early, as the bubble shows will take place in our 90-seat theater. Museum admission not included. Sponsored by US Bank.
Corks & Conversation
Perfect your palette and hone your senses for Corks & Conversation – a wine tasting event hosted by the Discovery Center Auxiliary on Sunday, March 28 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Ciao Bella Ristorante – 6500 Riverside Blvd.
Connoisseurs and amateurs will be pleased as we sample wines from around the world and nibble an array of delectable appetizers and desserts from Ciao Bella. There will also be a silent auction and door prizes. Dress is casual.
Tickets are $25 per person. Reservations can be made by calling Discovery Center at 815-963-6769. Proceeds benefit the educational programs at Discovery Center. Corks & Conversation is sponsored by Savant Capital Management and Thomas & Rosemary Muldowney.
