As soon as you enter the Discovery Center, you’ll find yourself among mini roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, and more! Discovery Center's permanent exhibit features ten engaging components, including popular interactive pieces like Create-A-Coaster, Bumper Blaster, the Momentum Machine, and the K'Nex construction area. Amusement Park Science is on display in the exhibition gallery area near the Museum's entry.
The permanent version of Amusement Park Science was constructed with support from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources "Public Museum Capital Grants Program", Sundstrand Corporation Foundation, and the Woodward Governor Company Charitable Trust.
