Discovery Center's miniature town, Safety City, provides a fun environment for children ages 3 to 6 to practice rules for staying safe. In Safety City, pre-schoolers:
- Become licensed tricycle drivers
- Follow traffic signals
- Board a bus safely
- Look both ways before crossing streets
- Respond to smoke in the "Survive Alive House"
- Practice "Stop, Drop & Roll"
- Drive a fire truck, and
- Dress in fire fighter uniforms
Dates: April 8-18, 2008
Cost: Safety City only, $2.00 per student (teachers/chaperones free); Safety City plus Discovery Center, $4.00 per student and $3.00 per chaperone (teachers free)
Minimum of 10 students for all Safety City groups
