TEAM UP FOR “OLD FASHIONED EGG HUNT”

Rockford, IL – On Saturday, March 22nd, Burpee Museum of Natural History and Discovery Center Museum are teaming up to present an “Old Fashioned Family Egg Hunt.”
Highlights for ’08
• Over 10,000 hidden eggs
• Live bunny rabbits for petting
• Meet Mr. E Rabbit

All children, ages 2 through 9, are asked to bring their own baskets to hunt for plastic eggs filled with wrapped candy. The Easter Bunny will be hopping about to meet children from 10:30AM to 2PM.

Egg Hunts will be held at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Everyone is encouraged to arrive 10 minutes before start times as the Egg Hunts will begin promptly. Egg Hunts for children ages 1 – 4 will be held at a special toddler area at the Burpee, for children ages 5 and 6 on the Burpee lawn and children 7 – 9 at the Discovery Center outdoor park. In between the Egg Hunts, both museums will offer an array of several spring time crafts from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. It’s Eggs Galore at Burpee Museum with a variety of unusual eggs on display and egg shell crafts to make & take.

Combined ticket admission that allows access to both museums for all events on
March 22nd is $6 per person. Members from either Burpee or Discovery Center are FREE. Admission is possible from either entrance. Both Burpee and Discovery Center hours are 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday.

Both Museums will be closed Sunday, March 23rd, in observance of the Easter Holiday.
